Captured Moments: An Oaxaca City Travelogue

Here’s a quick recap from a phenomenal trip to Oaxaca, Mexico.

We were only there for a few days, and I wished we’d stayed longer, but we had a taste and will undoubtedly return.

The Vibe

We were surprised by how vibrantly creative the entire area is. Around every corner, you could find art shops with everything from screen-printed/ block-printed art carved with incredible detail to pottery or hand-blown glassware.

The cobblestone streets are lined with brightly colored facades, tucking away hidden oases along their interior. We also encountered multiple pop-up installations across the city.

The Stay

Speaking of an oasis, we enjoyed a few nights at the Callejon Boutique Hotel. A fabulous and elegantly decorated boutique hotel with walls covered in art that’ll take your breath away.

A trip to Oaxaca is worth the trek if not for the beauty, or the hospitality, then definitely for the food and drink. Take a peek at the trip!
